Last night in our pottery class, we had another international journey of OREOs… this time Lemon Pie Flavor. At least according to Google translate. We couldn’t really tell as there wasn’t much lemon flavor… let alone any citrus vibe?! I’d like a little more zesty flavor with a “lemon” cookie. Thanks to Andrew for bringing them in for the class to try!

Tonight’s pottery class was full of tricks & treats! I brought the Halloween “Boo” OREOs… especially intrigued by the “glow in the dark” note in the corner. I sure hope they meant the packaging, and not the OREOs?!!!

We also had tiramisu & vanilla remix OREOs from the Netherlands & cinnamon bun OREOs from Canada! Thanks to Allison & Andrew for the imported cookies!!!

After the orchard this weekend, I came home with a full “peck” of farm-fresh apples. It’s amazing what a difference “fresh-off-the-tree” can be. These apples are delicious!!! And luckily, I had a great bowl to put them in!!!

Fall fun with family & friends last weekend at Christ Orchard in Elmwood, Illinois. Spent the day playing in the field searching for the coolest pumpkins & gourds. Playing with my Cousin Kim… and my “very first art fair friends” Rosene & Gerry! It’s always fun to get out of the City to play out in the farmlands… I think it’s quickly becoming an annual adventure!!!

Last night in class we had an amazing assortment of OREO cookies from China. Unique flavors & combos… like sesame, lavender, grape, peach, raspberry, matcha & birthday cake. Like most “imported” OREOs, they seemed a bit drier, crisper, “flour-ier” & not nearly as sweet & sugary! The sesame one was almost buttery & savory?! And as always… matcha is a “hit or miss” flavor! Special thanks to Tiffany for this gift of OREOs… including the Birthday flavor!!! – IFKYK

Kristy’s version of a Sundae-Sunday! Sure most of us would think ice cream… but Kristy went with yogurt & some toppings with great colors & textures! Food always tastes better in handmade pottery… thanks for sharing Kristy!
