While making a lot of bowls… we also had to have another sweet treat in class last night!!!
These ones were extra YUMMY!!!

More details… more “not-so-basic” bowls! Here are all of the bowls from last night’s class demo about making bowls on purpose… and not cylinders gone bad! A little flick, a little twist, a little slip… voila’!!!

So then THIS happened!!! Last night in class I showed my Beginners some quick tricks & techniques to add some style to their pottery! A quick tutorial with rim alterations & colored slip accents… effectively turning my fourteen “matching” bowls into “not-so-basic” bowls!

Last night in class, my Beginners tackled making “bowls on purpose, instead of cylinders gone bad.” First I demo’d one bowl for them… and then I made a bunch more so we could play with some alterations & surface decorations later in class.

Another platter off to a new home! Lots of pots left my booth this weekend to find their new forever homes. So fun to see people get excited… touch, love & fondle… and decide that they “need” to have one of my pieces in their life!

Huge THANKS to everyone who came out to Barrington for ART IN THE BARN this weekend. It was an amazing weekend with wonderful weather, great customers, good friends & a lot of fun!!! A great way to kick-off Fall… and to add to your pottery collection! Thanks again… you guys rocked “The Barn”!!!

Not a cloud in the sky, just some hazy patches along the lakefront in the lower grassy areas. Quiet, calm & serene. A beautiful way to start the day.

After a wonderful weekend at ART IN THE BARN… thank you to everyone who came out to Barrington… it felt great to be back on my bike this morning. After standing around on cement for two days, my “sore legs” needed a little loosening up. So pedaling his morning totally helped… and the sunrise made it even better!!!

All set up, replenished & ready for Day Two of ART IN THE BARN! It looks like another beautiful day coming (once the fog burns off). So c’mon out to The Barn in Barrington today to say “Hi” … and maybe leave with some new pottery?

Early morning dew caught on the spiderwebs.
Welcome to Fall… and welcome to a very damp & chilly morning.
