Gary Jackson: Fire When Ready Pottery
A Chicago potter’s somewhat slanted view of clay & play

Looks like Tiffany is warming-up her Sunday with a fresh-baked frittata! Warm & cozy comfort-food baked in some handmade pottery. Nothing better! Thanks for sharing Tiffany… looks yummy!

Lots of sunrise drama this morning… crazy cool clouds, windy gusts in all directions & plenty of waves crashing all around!!! So much fun. So much excitement. Kinda challenging though… catching a good crashing wave photo & pedaling into the wind… seemingly in all directions?!

Just got back from a fun stop at the Studio Opening Celebration of KAYHO CERAMICS!
So excited for my friend & former pottery student to be opening her own pottery studio location right there on Elston Avenue in Chicago. So fun to see her new place, chat with a few familiar faces & “perhaps” even add a couple more of Kristen’s beautiful pots to my collection! Be sure to check out KAYHO CERAMICS online… or even sign-up for one of her in-studio workshops. So proud of Kristen… and so excited to watch her new adventure grow!!!

Loving the vibrant colors & patterns.
Perfect for a little pottery studio open-house-warming gift!!!

And a fresh “harvest” of an old favorite… a new batch of my gourd salt & pepper shakers to be served on a proper gourd leaf!!! Prepping for Fall… and my next soda-firing.

Can’t believe it’s already August… and that Fall is quickly approaching!
Time to start making more gourd leaves for my Fall art fairs!

More rain this morning… more colors & textures from my back porch!

Raindrops sitting on some colorful begonias blooming
on my back porch on this grey, dreary & rainy day!
