EXCITING NEWS!!! My longtime friend Kristen Holub is hosting a “Studio Opening Celebration” tomorrow… as she’s opening her own “brick & mortar” pottery studio! She started as a professional metalsmith, took time off to be a great Mom, then came back & took some pottery classes… and look at her now! As a former student of mine, she definitely subscribed to the “more is more” mantra! Her pots are beautifully crafted with wonderful details & craftsmanship. A fine end to another week of Summer Camp… looks like they were happy!

Some sweet projects this week with my Summer Campers!

So much cuter in color… well done kiddos!!!

Vibrant red flowers in a “scrolly” green square vase. Rich gerbera daisies, ruffled ranunculus flowers & seeded eucalyptus add texture & drama. Perfect for another Floral Friday!

I’m very protective of my Summer Campers… especially when they get “blamed” for leaving messes in classrooms. I will vouch for my campers who clean better than most adult students. Especially when we come into our room in the morning to find this… a full set-up with porcelain, a Giffin Grip, tools & more still on a wheel?! Can’t “blame” the kids for this one… but they did clean it up for you whoever you are?!

Lots of pots to start our day at Summer Camp!!! After just three days, we’re now up to trimming, carving, stamping, handles, attachments & finishings. Then tomorrow they’ll move onto painting with colored slips to make them even more fun!!!

Whether it’s a morning sunrise… or a wonderful little painted rock I found today while riding. Sometimes the smallest of details can bring the biggest smiles!!! This one did… and now it’s part of my collection to remind me daily.
