My Monday morning mosaic moment!

Another surprise art fair treat this morning!!! Our amazing mosaic artist Kristin just “somehow knew” that I might be all over these!!! A wonderful surprise… a sweet treat from a real Sweetie! Thanks Kristin!!!

Looks like another collaboration project is coming along nicely. I can see that Kristin Dann Conneely is using some of my “textured color nuggets” in some of her mosaic pieces. One of the highlights of ART IN THE GARDEN is seeing all of the one-of-a-kind collaborations between some of the artists. And Kristin is pulling it together here with her mosaic magic!!!

Morning mosaic time… with a quick glimpse at the bricolage mural on the front of Lillstreet Art Center. With lots of fun “pieces & parts” mixed in throughout… including one very recognizable stamped vase near the bottom corner!

Looks like my pal Kristin Conneely is pulling together some last-minute mosaic collaborations for ART IN THE GARDEN this weekend! And this one is a three-way… my orange nuggets, Cory’s leaves & Kristin will be mosaic-ing all around them!!! You’ll need to stop by this weekend to see the finished collaboration pieces!!!

Always a treasure… this amazing mosaic wall in one of the side galleries at the Garfield Park Conservatory. The design & craftsmanship… let alone all of the TIME it must have taken to hand-cut all of these little tile pieces! I can’t even imagine!!!

It was a colorful mosaic morning today. Another fun brickolage installation on the side of a local Chicago school… celebrating the Arts!!! As they should…

This colorful collaboration came home with me from ART IN THE GARDEN. A perky flower made by Cory Mccrory surrounded by beautiful mosaics by Kristin Dann Conneely. I especially loved how the beauty of the day was reflected in the broken mirrors… blue skies, green leaves… beautiful day!!!
