So here’s my new ride… another Toyota RAV4.

Sadly, not the fun bright blue color as choices were very limited. But a nice “new-to-me” car… newer with less mileage than my smashed one! Not happy about having car payments again… but very happy about my “new” car! Now we just have to hope I can pack in all of my art fair stuff like I did in my old RAV4. My first art fair is just about two weeks away… fingers crossed everything fits!!

So THIS finally happened over the weekend!!! It’s been a long drawn out fiasco over a fallen tree!!! But we’re finally moving forward… on new wheels!!! Well, “new-to-me” anyways…

Well, it’s been two weeks since that dead rotten tree came crashing down to smash my car!!! My car has been towed. The tree debris has been cleaned up. But STILL no update from my insurance as to how this will all be resolved?! Not very “progressive” if you ask me… still waiting… and getting a bit impatient!

The tow truck never came yesterday… even though it was scheduled
AND I confirmed with them yesterday morning!!! ugh.

Rumor has it that the tow truck is coming today to take my car away?!
So I had to get my license plates off first… as I’ve heard too many horror stories
of what can happen with them if you don’t take them off.

I couldn’t unscrew the rusty bolts… so I resorted to cutting them off with snips!
Tough going… maybe a can opener would have been a better choice?! HA!
Desperate times called for desperate measures!!!

Today’s update: The “Jaws Of Life” were back as the City is finally clearing away all of the rotten tree debris. And I’ve been told my car will be towed away tomorrow by my insurance company for a claim determination! Fingers crossed…

I did appreciate a momentary mossy moment…
somehow now on the top of my car on the smashed roof rack?!!!

I do try to find the small moments as best I can…

And for now it’s sitting on the side of my street…
waiting for my insurance company to get its act together. I did take tons of pictures…
and then covered it up… like protecting it from any rain is of importance at this point???

Upon further inspection… it only got WORSE!!!

Yes, this entire tree crashed directly on top of my car overnight Wednesday! SMASHED!!! Apparently the night before around 10:35pm… while I was still working on my taxes!!! The neighbors said they heard the crash… but it was already too late! So my day yesterday was completely ruined with this unforeseen situation. Luckily, no one was hurt… and in the big scheme of things, “it’s just a car.” But it is also a HUGE hassle, as I am now dealing with insurance, the City and not having a car for awhile?!

Not sure where this will go next… but I’m sure I’ll keep you posted either way… ‘cuz that’s what I do apparently… post everything here!!! And yes, in case you’re wondering… I altered the license plate numbers just to be safe!

So yesterday I came out to my car ready to go to the gym & then to work…
only to find THIS!!! Not a good look… especially when YOUR car is the blue one!!!
