It was a banner night of OREOs in class tonight!!! We had two different varieties… neither of them cookies!!! The Muddy Buddies were pretty much like “puppy chow” mix that everyone makes… meh… just okay. Homemade “puppy chow” is so much better! But the new combo Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup & OREO pieces were quite yummy!!!

Looks like Kristy has cooked up another yummy dinner… a Moroccan stew with roasted eggplant & tomatoes. Looking even yummier in a handmade stamped bowl!!! Thanks for sharing Kristy!

Celebrating NATIONAL GUACAMOLE DAY with a quick snack before teaching class tonight! Fresh & yummy… with some homegrown tomatoes from my friend Lisa!

Well, we started a new session of classes this week at Lillstreet Art Center. And what better way to kick-off new classes than with new OREOs?!!! And we all agreed… these are YUMMY!!!

Although I will say… now I kinda want a real REESE’s peanut butter cup wedged between two OREO cookies. Not cream filling… but an actual peanut butter cup! I may need to make them myself?!

Luckily I had another bowl… as one of the Farmers Market vendors gave me a free bundle of radishes. Not my favorite veggie… but they were FREE!!! Which IS my favorite!

Saturday morning we decided to go over to the Fairbanks Farmers Market before starting the pottery workshop. I was impressed by the colors, textures & flowers all over the market. As well as some “crib balls” the were hand-sewn… and brought some childhood memories as my Grandma Kitty made the same stuffed fabric balls when we were kids! The Fairbanks Potters Guild has a booth there every time… so it was great to meet some potters & see some pottery ahead of the workshop.

After a long day of hiking & sightseeing… what better way to cap it off than with some chocolate ice cream?! Even better when served in handmade pottery!!!

So this happened too… after swimming, biking & running all morning I felt like I “deserved” a little treat on the way home!!! Frozen custard with cherries, raspberries & chunks of cheesecake swirled inside!!! A little sumthin’-sumthin’ to replenish & reward myself!!!

I had to travel all the way up to Alaska to find the newest flavor!!!
Well worth the trip!!! burp.

Everything is AMAZING up here. The workshop was yesterday & today…
then more touring fun to come. Tons of photos to come too… later…
