STUNNING!
One of the most colorful skyshows we’ve had in awhile.
Plenty of clouds & plenty of colors that kept evolving as the morning went on.
A stunning way to start my Saturday!

And the drama was back… with great clouds working the sky! Colorful splashes across dark clouds as they moved across the sky. Another beautiful start to another beautiful day!

Early morning sunrise… just in time as the clouds were moving in fast. You could see the large bank of clouds moving in just as the sun was finally shining through. Beautiful reflections as the sky closed in… seemingly for the rest of the day.

After a full day of Summer Camp, I was seduced by blue skies… and just had to make a quick escape onto my bike along the lakefront. Beautiful shades of blue as I pedaled along the lake. And now… a quick shower & then back to my studio for the night!!

Not a cloud in the skies… except for a small cluster of wispy pinks a bit to the south of the sunrise?! A fairly quiet & seemingly uneventful sunrise… quiet, serene & very relaxed. That is until I met a “friend” along the path…

I must admit that I had high hopes for a beautiful sunrise this morning. Lots of clouds for the sun to splash colors against. However, I fear that the sun was just on the wrong side of the clouds. And we barely got to see the sun at all… which caused a lot of sunrise drama, but not a colorful skyshow!

And so the heatwave continues. Another hot night, another hot morning. Sure, I coulda stayed in bed longer… but I can sweat on my bike just as much as in my bed! So why not get up early to enjoy the beautiful sunrise while it’s out there? And I did… then it was home, shower, change & off to Summer Camp!

Not a cloud in the sky… just plenty of haze & humidity. Sure, I coulda listened to the weather advisories about how bad it was gonna be outside today… but it was early, and a tad cooler than it will be the rest of the day. So I went for it… and had another wonderful albeit SWEATY sunrise ride!
Just stay safe out there… and hydrate, hydrate, HYDRATE!!!

Hazy & humid. It hasn’t gotten that hot yet, but it’s gonna! We have a very warm forecast for the rest of the week. And I think it’s starting today with a morning ride that was already warm & sticky… and me very sweaty!!!

After a full day of being “cooped-up” in the studio firing my soda kiln yesterday…
it felt AMAZING to get outside to play early this morning. Not much in terms of clouds for the sun to play with… except for one exciting moment when it worked through some low-flying clouds. There was some early morning haze… you can already feel the heat & humidity moving in.
