Well, I started out shopping for gifts, but I found this great “retro” Merry Christmas pillow at DISTRICT on Damen. One of my pottery students owns & runs the store… and I ended up buying this pillow for myself… LOVE IT… Merry Christmas to ME!!!

Just pulling together “a few” more mugs for tomorrow’s PROCRASTINATOR’S POP-UP SHOP in my studio! I’ll have over a hundred mugs there to choose from for those last-minute names still on your holiday shopping list… or yourself! Not only did Mary Foster and I have a nice “collaboration” chat, I also left her place with a tasty collection of homemade Christmas cookies!

She paints AND bakes cookies too!!!

Just dropped off two new soda-fired frames with my friend & painter Mary Foster… just finishing up one last Christmas collaboration commission before the holidays! We’ve done several “pottery & painting” collaboration pieces this year… and already discussing next year!

Considering some new options… and not to give anything away,
but I’ll give you two words… WOOD… CUT…. fingers crossed…

Last night, my Intermediate Wheel class did a festive Christmas Tree trading-stealing-exchange game to celebrate our final class of the session… and the HOLIDAYS! I came home with this sweet tree that Molly made… possibly the pointiest of all the trees in the lot… with groovy carvings & textures!

With a ton of dark clouds to start the day… there was a glimmer of hope & a little sunrise confidence that something good would come of it. Chilly & breezy to start, but eventually… a beautiful sunrise!!!
