“I swear it just jumped off my ware board!!!”
Sometimes gravity does NOT work in your favor!

It was one of my class demo mugs last night…
and it didn’t quite make it back to my studio?!

Luckily… IT’S JUST CLAY!

Last night in class, my Beginning Wheel students tackled trimming & pulling handles… making their first MUGS of the new session! Not too shabby for their second class, right???!

And when the sun was rising in the east, the Super Moon from last night was still hovering in the west. A nice big full moon to greet the morning sun!!!

Another lazy, hazy, crazy day of summer. Not a lot of fun with the lack of clouds in the sky… but a good amount of haze over the horizon to give us a good morning glow.

Okay, don’t hate me… but I truly deserve this!!! A little “hot fudge therapy” after a long day “jurying” in the judicial system… and oh, but wait there’s more… they also made me wear LONG PANTS!!!

Thank you Margie’s!!!

Forever the “tourist” even in my own City… I always get excited when I see the large Picasso sculpture in Daley Center downtown. Sure, I was to there for Jury Duty… but why not appreciate your surroundings a bit too?!

And here’s a cool fact… did you know that if you look at the famous Picasso sculpture from the correct back-side angle, you actually get a woman’s profile!!! Scroll to the last photo to see for yourself!!!

So I just finished Jury Duty… and yes, of course I got picked for a trial.
Oh, lucky me. Not too painful… but it’s the “dress code” that’s really killing me!!! Seriously…

Another quiet morning… warm with just a little wisp of a cloud flying low on the horizon.

Just a little snack before teaching class tonight… you know how I love a good holiday!
Just celebrating NATIONAL GUACAMOLE DAY… yum!!!

Also finished off another batch of wheelthrown holiday ornaments. Getting ready for a bisque firing… then into a soda kiln for the final firing. New ornaments & holidays coming soon… sooner than you think!!!
