You gotta love when a couple of your “studio friends” have a little extra space in their bisque kiln… and I just happened to have a few mugs ready to fill that space!!! Thank you Christine & Tracey… you da’ best!

With an extra “bonus” Fall-back hour this morning… I thought it would be a perfect chance for another 10×10 Challenge. This time with some small bowls… ten thrown before 10:00am.

Some pretty red anemone flowers with seeded eucalyptus in a small textured & soda-fired square vase. Loving the scroll pattern & the crazy-cool details in the flower’s center!

The sun is finally coming out… and the Fall colors are a-poppin’!!!

Lots of clouds covering the sky this morning. There was a moment of brilliance with red splashing across the clouds. But as quickly as it arrived… it also disappeared. Plunging us back into the gray clouds. Looks like it might be cloudy the rest of the day… but hey, at least I got a few moments of pretty!

Most people hate making handles… pulling them, scoring, slipping & attaching them. I might be one of the few who LOVE making mugs! In fact, if I were only allowed to make one form for the rest of my pottery career… it would be MUGS!!!

Gotta love getting those perfect spirals when trimming…
especially with my DiamondCore Tools trimming tool.
