Lots of clouds, lots of drama. With one large cloud looming to the north… the sunrise was trying its best to make it out before that cloud took over! We kinda made it… as the sun finally came out in a glaring blaze of glory at the very end of my ride!!!

Not looking so good for the Air & Water Show today as the rain is predicted to start soon!

Not much of a sunrise… just clouds & humidity.
And a very tiny “smudge” of orange at the very end?!

With a thick layer of clouds (…or haze… is there a difference?) lying low on the horizon this morning, it took quite awhile for the sun to finally make an appearance up & over the cloud mass. I “gave up” a couple times thinking it was never going to happen… and pedaled on. But finally towards the end of my ride when I was almost home, the sun finally peeked out… and it was worth the wait!

Another hazy & serene Sunday morning… just pedaling along the lakefront with just a couple clouds to keep me company. Very still waters were perfect for the occasional sunrise reflection… which sadly, were mostly blocked by the clouds!

Lots of clouds. Lots of drama… and sunrise potential unfulfilled. I had high hopes when I started out that the massive cloud-cover might just get illuminated with sunrise colors. As I continued to pedal, I could tell it just wasn’t going to happen. Just lots of ominous clouds moving in. I had pretty much given up on seeing the sun this morning. But then it broke-thru for a very brief moment… unfortunately I was on the “wrong side’ of the golf course!!! So I only saw it with shining through at the Waveland Clock Tower… then back to the cloudy grayness!!!

Lots of sunrise drama this morning… crazy cool clouds, windy gusts in all directions & plenty of waves crashing all around!!! So much fun. So much excitement. Kinda challenging though… catching a good crashing wave photo & pedaling into the wind… seemingly in all directions?!
