Just another stamped platter ready for this weekend’s pottery sale…
perfect in a bright holiday green!!! Just looking for some Christmas cookies on top!!!

Just a quick reminder that this weekend is BOWLS & BUTTONS… my Second Holiday Home Show. Perfect for all your holiday shopping with pottery in every room of my Christmas decorated condo!!! Plus food & drink in the kitchen & the back porch is my “Tired of Shlepping Sale”. Big discounts on lots of pots!!!
As an added bonus, my talented friend Rhonda Gurgone will be at my place too with beautiful jewelry she makes out of vintage buttons. So unique… and the perfect gift for that special someone… or yourself!!!
Stop on by Saturday & Sunday from 10:00am-6:00pm.
Come with your holiday gift list to crank it out… and bring a friend or five!!!

Looks like Tracy’s festive display has grown with new additions to her “forest” of ceramic Christmas trees. A sweet grouping for a cold Winter’s night. You can add-on or start your own “forest” of trees this weekend at my place!!!

And if there are some left after this weekend’s SECOND HOLIDAY HOME SHOW, I might try to pull together a quickie online sale here on my Facebook page either Monday or Tuesday?! Fingers crossed… more to come…

Don’t forget the happy little things! Like handmade pottery & jewelry for all of your holiday gifts! Here’s a quick preview of some beautiful jewelry made by my friend Rhonda Gurgone… who will be my Guest Artist this weekend at my condo. All made with antique buttons… and she knows the backstory of every vintage button! So come on by this weekend to do some holiday shopping… pottery & jewelry for everyone!!!

Another class demo piece “finally” getting glazed. Carved decorations around the flange rim on this dinner plate. Going into the kiln… and coming out just in time for this weekend’s SECOND HOLIDAY HOME SHOW! Hope it turns out okay?!

Here’s one of my class demos on carving & surface decoration that I finally got around to glazing… been a while. The platter has white slip on the flange rim that I dried a bit before carving the leaf pattern. And then I added little “berries” using a darker clay body. A rich green glaze makes it perfect for the holidays! Kinda now wish I had carved holly leaves instead?… ah, next time!!!

Anyway… this platter will be there for one lucky customer this weekend
at my SECOND HOLIDAY HOME SHOW!!!

Mental note to self… don’t wipe the underside of a kiln shelf with your bare hand. You never know what the person before you in the kiln may have left behind!!!

Second note… buy more band-aids!

A couple sessions ago, my Intermediate Wheelthrowing class all made snowmen for the holiday fun of it!!! Looks like Tina’s snowman has found one of my green trees for his neighborhood!!!
