Everyone knows picking a good pumpkin requires a good stem!
And I’ve just added a few twisted ones…

Looks like Sarah’s purple hyacinth bean vine is almost ready to start blooming up in Minneapolis…. yes, I shared some seeds to spread the happiness! I love how the vine is “framing” her birdhouse so perfectly. Stamped & soda-fired for their fine-feathered friends. And the cutest pup Roscoe to “guard” their backyard too!

It’s that time of the summer… when my purple hyacinth bean vines start blooming! So easy to grow, so easy to collect seeds for next year! You get treated with nice green leaves, purple flowers floating off graceful stems…. followed by shiny aubergine seed pods. Such a fun plant… so easy to care for… grows so fast. Makes me smile every day!

Another cloudy morning. I had high hopes for a colorful sunrise splashing across the clouds… but to no avail. We got plenty of dramatic “layers” of clouds, shadows & silhouettes…. but no real sunrise colors. Just some beautiful drama & reflections! And I’m here for it…

Finding the perfect place to put down roots & grow perched on the edge of the lake.

Looks like someone has been doing the “time-honored” job of DIVVY Diving! Pulling some rental bikes out of the lake. These bikes are a bit cleaner than usual… must have been a somewhat recent plunge for these ones!!!

A little afternoon “escape” to the lakefront. So beautiful outside today… albeit a bit windy with choppy waters. Just glad we didn’t have THIS water on Sunday for the triathlon!!

Not only does my pal Cory McCrory make really cool pottery… she’s also a great baker!
And I scored a freshly-baked loaf of sourdough bread yesterday at our “collab hand-off”!!!
So yummy!
