The “eyes” have it! Started by underglazing the eyes on all of the owls.
Already thinking they’re kind of adorable! I love how the personality is starting to pop!
The newest “ghoul” in the collection is already bright-eyed & ready for more!!!

Well, they’re finally here! With a late-night “reveal” of this year’s addition to The Ghouls Collection! While many of you have been asking “Who?” for awhile… get it?

I’ve been working on them for awhile in my studio… with a few hints posted here & there along the way. Did you catch them? But my owls still look a little naked! So I had to bust out some underglazes today to start adding colors.

And this is a great example of what happens when you DON’T follow that mantra.

It was expected though… I knew this was just a temporary “sketch” of a maquette.

Yesterday was very productive…
“things” are coming along nicely. Which they kinda “have to”…
if there’s any hope of having them done by next weekend for ART IN THE BARN!

So here’s my sister Jen’s GHOULS COLLECTION. She might have one of the largest collections out there… although she is missing a couple. Can anyone spot the missing Ghouls??? It’s a shame they’re all Limited Editions!!!

Creepy Clowns… the newest member of THE GHOULS COLLECTION. It’s a Limited Edition of forty… and when they’re gone, they’re gone!!! They’re all very similar, but each on has a different color combo & personality. It will be great fun to see how people analyze & pick their favorite this weekend at ART IN THE BARN!

Coming out of the kiln… not so creepy, I think they’re pretty cute.
Vibrant colors with a smirky-toothy grin… half with hats, and half with flowers “squirting” water!! All coming out for ART IN THE BARN this weekend in Barrington!

Finally all glazed & going into the kiln! I always find it funny that this crazy “mint ice cream” green glaze somehow turns clear in the firing?! Feels good to have them “safely” in the kiln… one step closer to getting them done… and one HUGE step towards getting them all to ART IN THE BARN this weekend!!!
