Just finishing up another batch of stamped vases… some porcelain, some stoneware. All complete with colored flashing slip accents… and trying to dry ’em a bit quicker on an elevated plastic grid for better air-flow on all sides! Gotta get these babies into a bisque kiln quick… deadline approaching faster than I’d like…

A quick bisque firing… as always a lot of mugs and a few bowls still a little “damp” on top!

Literally “threw together” a couple last-minute masks for this weekend’s soda kiln firing… they make me smile while still racing towards my deadline!

Just “a few” more mugs for the kiln…
hoping to have them all ready for ART IN THE BARN on September 28th & 29th.

Finishing up some last-minute mugs for another Mugshot Monday! Adding some colored flashing slip accents… and then “speed-drying” them somehow so they can get bisqued, glazed and loaded into the soda kiln this weekend! Fingers crossed!

Oh yeah, and there “may have been” a few serving bowls in the production mix today as well! Gotta make, make, make…

All stamped & done for the night… for tomorrow I’ll trim and add some colored flashing slip accents. Getting a little tight in my deadline to get everything ready for next weekend’s soda kiln firing! Tick, tock…

Porcelain vases thrown this morning & already moving on to the stamping phase.
I love a good productive day in the studio!

After a bit of detailing with colored flashing slips, these ornaments are now drying
and ready for a bisque kiln. They will then be carefully propped-up on a little
handmade tripods in the soda kiln.
