And sometimes SPECTACULAR sunrises require spectacular panoramic views!

I couldn’t decide… so you get TWO

After another late night of glazing in the studio… I probably should have slept-in for another hour or two… or at least been back in the studio glazing again?! Either one. But I could sense that it was going to be a SPECTACULAR sunrise again… and how could I resist??? So I might be tired… and I might be glazing late again tonight… but I’m sure I made the right choice!!!
I mean, look at this!!! … SPECTACULAR!!!

The first table full of pots has been inlaid, liner-glazed & wiped clean. Now to start wadding everything… and then moving onto refilling the table with more bisqued pots to start the process all over again. It’s gonna be a late night!!!

Just some post-camp glazing! Luckily, I’m preparing for a soda-kiln, so it’s mostly glaze inlay into the stamped impressions… and a simple liner glaze on the inside. The beauty of soda-firing does not require a full dip of glaze!

When your first summer camper arrives early…
and before she even says “Hello”… proclaims “Is there anything I can clean!”
And you know I would hate to quash her summer camp dreams!!!

Unloaded another bisque kiln tonight… and “someone” has a LOT of glazing & wadding to do & fast!!! Lots of mugs & more that need to be loaded into the kiln for my soda-firing this weekend!!!

Welcome to Summer Camp with Gary… and Rule #3 in action –
“Whatever mess you make, you WILL be cleaning up.”
We all do it. We all follow it. And when the kids ask “if they can clean the sink?”…
it would just rude for me to say no. Right??!!

Completely impressed by this little kiddo’s mug today in camp… with another tiny mug positioned on the handle. Charlie said it was for Grandma… and that the small cup could hold the sugar. So when she drinks it, the sugar automatically falls in to sweeten Grandma’s coffee. So creative .. gotta love this kid’s imagination!!!!

More summer camp fun with 8-9 year olds this week… and I “may” have brought some of my handmade clay stamps to camp for them to try!!! More is more… even with the kids!
