Okay… so today was a double-whammy of yummy holidays. We started the day with one… and now we’re ending with another one. As today is also NATIONAL CHERRY PIE DAY!!! You know I love a good holiday… and a good pie!!!

Brightened my day with a cheery colorful breakfast plate by my friend Cory Mccrory this morning. Fun textures & colors to kick-off another dreary Friday! Cory will also be the host artist at the Sandwich location of the NORTHERN ILLINOIS POTTERY TOUR… where I will be too! Stop by and see both of us with a bunch of other talented potters the first weekend of June!
And it’s another fun Friday… as it’s also NATIONAL MUFFIN DAY!!!

And if I can match a good theme with a national holiday?… even better! So today is a double win “for the gold” as it is also NATIONAL CHOCOLATE MINT DAY!!! My class has no idea what they’re in for tonight…

Just a little sneak preview… tonight’s LILLSTREET THROWDOWN class will be our Pottery Olympics… and we’re going for the Decathlon! Ten events with just ten pounds of clay! More to come… and “medals” too!
And you know how I love a good theme… so it just felt like Milano cookies were the perfect choice for our Olympic Night festivities!!!

Just some fun soda-fired colors to brighten this gray & dreary Thursday afternoon. Enjoy!

Not a lot of sun this morning… just a good amount of clouds! Even when the sun finally made it over the low-flying dense cloud-cover… it was still “shrouded” in a blanket of clouds! Still warm though… so I’ll take it!!!

So excited to see GREEN outside today! The weather is amazing today in the low sixties!!! The sun is out, the snow is gone, the ice has melted!!! And the moss is here!!! Sure… we live in Chicago and we’re bound to get snow again any day now!!! But until then… grab it while you can!!!

Stamped & handled… one step closer!
Coming along nicely with a deadline drawing near!!!

Looks like my Thanksgiving Cactus has finally decided to bloom. It’s always been so full of blooms for my Holiday Home Show in late November. But this year?… no blooms, no buds, nothing!!! But now, in the middle of February it decides o pop-out a flower or two?!!! Go figure…. better luck next year!
