Been stamping some mug cylinders this morning. Adding some textures & patterns to the sides. Pressing in each stamp one by one… by one… by one…

So many stamps… so many choices! Yes, I do make own stamps!!!
Just a piece of clay with a carved pattern on each end.
Nothing too fancy… just old-school clay stamps!

And so it begins… tonight was the first night of our LILLSTREET THROWDOWN class!!! Their first challenge was to “recreate” two drinking glasses in clay. Matching sizes, proportions, angles, textures & styles. Easier said than done!

Part two was to choose one of their new two cups… which then became their new prototype to make three more to match. Ultimately ending with a matching set of four.

Everyone did pretty good… with many of themselves even impressing themselves. So many cups made in not a lot of time. So much fun with a great group of students… some new “throwdowners” & some repeating for another season of pottery fun!!

Tonight’s pottery class had lots of treats!!! Including Sara’s homemade chocolate chip blondies… yum!!! But also these great OREOs!

I mean, what’s better than an OREO???… a FUDGE-COVERED OREO!!! Even cuter?… one of my students brought them… sent to class by her adorable Mom!!! So thank you Taylor’s Mom for sending us treats. We loved them!!!

My first 10×10 CHALLENGE of the New Year! And starting with my favorite thing to make… MUGS of course!!! More than ten thrown before 10:00am! Giddy-up!!!

Looks like my cousin Kim has created a nice “constellation” of textured wall discs in her dining room. Different sizes & different textures all coming together into one art installation. Thanks for sharing Kim!

The new session of pottery classes has begun… and so have the class treats!!! And sure, Christmas might have past, but we can still celebrate with green & red OREOs!!! Which we all enjoyed tonight!!!

During these dreary winter days of the New Year… a little pop of floral color can help brighten the day! Even if it’s just a couple blooms in a couple cutie-patootie bud vases! Thanks for sharing your cheery collection Tiffany!

And part of the painting party was Merryn painting another mug. So fun to watch her process from “sketching it in” with sepia tones, and then adding color… then finishing with highlight details! Looks GREAT!!!… as does her hubby Will showing off another masterpiece!
