It sure was WINDY this morning!!! With strong breezes blowing in off the lake creating some crazy cool waves crashing in along the beaches! The first half was great fun as the wind was mostly at my back… but then you turn around & head back straight into the wind. Ugh. Never a good sign when the beach flags are flying straight out… and maybe a little upwards too!!!

This morning I woke to the sound of rain… and a Severe Thunderstorm Emergency Alert buzzer on my iPhone!!! YIKES!!!… kinda startling! So I rolled over and skipped my sunrise ride this morning. And instead decided to share these muted pastel photos from yesterday’s warm & sweaty sunrise ride!

Vibrant colors & yummy flavors. A beautiful summer salad… served in a vibrant blue bowl. With just a bit of stamping along the rim of the bowl to really make it POP!!! Thanks for sharing your colorful salad creation with us Kristy!

A little texture for another TEXTURE TUESDAY!
Some natural textures on the colorful coleus leaves…
contrasted with some more texture in the bricks as a fun background.

Apparently the Glenview Summer Art Fair was featured in the Daily Herald newspaper this weekend. And it appears as though there just may be some pottery featured in the article! Kind of exciting… especially as it seems like she’s REALLY enjoying my work!!!

Well, a “few” of my new “handbuilt-wheelthrown-combo mugs” have been a little on the LARGE side! I thought they might have been a bit too big?… but you now how some people like a LOT of coffee. So this huge mug was an art fair purchase and they LOVE it. It’s practically as large as the coffee pot itself!!! I guess this way you can say that you “only” had one cup of coffee! Thanks Gordon for sharing you jumbo java mug with everyone!!!

Well, it’s another week of SUMMER CAMP!!!

And another week of wheelthrowing with the kids! Sure, they might get muddy, sloppy & dirty… but it all washes off. The only thing that doesn’t wash off is their contagious energy & endless smiles… even if they are hidden somewhere behind their masks!
