What a wonderful way to kick-off Christmas Day with such an incredible present like this morning’s sunrise!!! I can’t remember the last time I had a chance to ride my bike early on Christmas morning… but so glad I could today. Mother Nature sure gave me a beautiful gift this morning!
I’ve been told I’m just like Buddy the Elf…
and I’m totally okay with that. I think we follow the same four basic food groups
& over-the-top enthusiasm for Christmas!

Roller coasters, yummy s’mores, festive lights & so much more! Another great night playing in the park with my sister Jen, niece Taylor and cousin Kim. Holiday fun for everyone last night at Six Flags Great America!
Of course we had to stop off to toast some marshmallows and make s’mores…

Today’s the day… a FESTIVUS for the Rest of Us!!! So pull out that aluminum pole, share your feelings during the “Airing Of Grievances”, enjoy a fine Festivus Dinner then finish up the night with the “Feats Of Strength.” Celebrate like a Costanza!!!

Another beautiful morning riding along the lakefront. Hard to believe that Christmas is just a couple days away when the weather is this AMAZING!!! Guess I should start shopping soon… but c’mon… I’d rather be pedaling.

YES there are elk in Elk Grove Village!!!
Okay, so let’s not get crazy. I grew up in Elk Grove Village so it is no surprise to me. However, they’re all “contained” in a fenced-in area of the Busse Woods Forest Preserve. It’s not like I just happened upon him in a clearing while hiking… which would have been SO much cooler & such a better story to share!!! Still very majestic and always to cool to spend time playing out in nature.
Okay, so I was “supposed†to be focused on my Christmas Shopping List today…
but how could I pass up a beautiful hike through the woods on a surprisingly warm
& sunny Saturday?! Apparently I couldn’t.
