And here’s a little “tour” of my back courtyard stairs & back porch situation. We have a little freezing issue going on here these days! Too much ice, not enough melting! Some spectacular icicles forming everywhere… natural beauty… and unfortunately, dripping all over the stairs creating an impassable “slippery slope”!

Guess my laundry in the basement can wait for a few more weeks until things melt?!!!

Another beautifully gray morning here in Chicago…
cold, chilly, bone-chilling “damp” with plenty of icicles everywhere! Perfect for a neighborhood stroll, right? Lots of icicle spikes forming & dripping to create iced-over clumps of “preserved” nature!

Like a sparkly ceiling art installation… or chandelier… some of the best icicles ever!!! Gotta love Chicago winters & Chicago porches!

Wonderful textures… ever growing as the snow melts & refreezes throughout the day… hopefully without falling off & hurting someone!

Also enjoying some of the massive icicles we have forming on our back porches. A bit on the dangerous side when they get this huge… but why are they so beautiful?! Like a frozen urban waterfall.

After about two hours of shoveling, I finally uncovered my car!

Not so bad once you get started… and a good sense of accomplishment as you start to see car & pavement once again! At least until the next snow plow decides to pile more snow back on your car!!! Ugh… good thing I kinda enjoy shoveling!!!

We got a ton of snow overnight… I’d guess about 24-inches!!!
Beautiful white fluffy snow. So pretty out there… as long as you don’t need to go anywhere.

Luckily, Lillstreet Art Center cancelled all classes again today…
so no class to teach tonight!!! More time to play!

Frozen moments on my porch. Plenty of ice & snow… considering it’s “protected” by the roof. So no huge snow accumulation here… but everywhere else we got PLENTY!!! I think it might be time to venture out with my shovel again…
