SPOILER ALERT : We “may” have had another Yellow Towel Situation in class last night as we play along with “THE GREAT AMERICAN BAKING SHOW”!!! One of my pottery students is a “baking contestant”… is that even a thing? But for the fun of the “game”… we’re “celebrating” the ones who got kicked off the show!!! So tonight we focused on the first episode of the show… COOKIE WEEK… where one of the unlucky bakers was sadly asked to leave the tent. Sorry Stacie!

Reminder… you don’t need any special subscriptions to watch the show. Just go to www.therokuchannel.com and you can stream all six episodes for FREE!!! No special equipment or ROKU box required!!! And then you can vicariously play along with us as we all root for Martin… who survived COOKIE WEEK under the tent!!!

Preheat your ovens… THE GREAT AMERICAN BAKING SHOW is now streaming on The Roku Channel for free. I mean, everyone loves the bakers, the white tent and Prue & Paul. But this time it’s all bakers from America… including Martin who is currently in my Monday night Intermediate Wheelthrowing class!!! Be sure to check it out… even if it’s just for Martin’s great facial expressions!!!

So… word on the street says that a new season of THE GREAT AMERICAN BAKING SHOW will be begin streaming next Friday on ROKU. For all those people who LOVE the British version… this one has American bakers in the same white tent with the same judges!!! But here’s the kicker… ONE of the bakers is actually a student in one of my pottery classes this session! Can’t wait to see how this show plays out… drama under the tent… and to see how my student does in the competition!!! Truth be told… now I expect better treats in class too!!!

Plus, I apologize in advance for the “bad photos”… it was the best I could “screen grab” from the teaser trailer!

I just wish there were more episodes… or a U.S. version I could compete & play on?! So many great projects. So many challenges. So much fun!!!

Okay, so this may have dropped a few days ago… but I had a lot of pots to glaze, a soda kiln to fire & taxes to do. But now that all three of those tasks are done… the “reward” will be coming soon! I can’t wait to binge the newest season of THE GREAT POTTERY THROW DOWN on HBO Max!!! No spoilers, please…

So excited to see that the new cast of the next GREAT POTTERY THROWDOWN has been announced… as the new season begins airing tonight in the UK. Unfortunately, we need to wait for awhile to see it here in the US.

Can’t wait that long?… there are still a few spots open in my upcoming pottery class at Lillstreet Art Center… THE GREAT LILLSTREET THROWDOWN. This will be “Season Four” for our own version of challenges, contests & projects! If you’re in the Chicago area, sign-up soon to be part of the fun starting on Thursday, January 13th!

VERY EXCITING!!!
Except I don’t have Channel 4…
and I’m not in the United Kingdom…
so I don’t get to watch tonight!!!

We Americans need to wait for it to come “across the pond”
for us to watch on HBO Max… soon I hope?!

Today is the day to celebrate “Festivus” with all of the traditional rituals… which include an unadorned aluminum pole instead of a decorated tree, the “Airing of Grievances” which is an opportunity to tell others how they have disappointed you in the past year, followed by a Festivus dinner, and then completed by the “Feats of Strength” where the head of the household must be pinned. Sounds like fun, huh?!
