Warm, humid & sweaty… a hazy start to the morning. Lots of clouds breezing through the City… sometimes blocking the sun, other times revealing some amazing colors & wonderful reflections.

Colorful clouds quietly drifting across the morning sky. Beautiful colors kicking off another beautiful morning along the Chicago lakefront. The best way to start my day!!!

A cloudy start. A cloudy morning… wondering if my judgement was clouded too?! As I didn’t even know if we would see anything other than clouds this morning?!!! Luckily, the sun finally broke through for quite a dramatic start to the day! Still so happy to be out on the Chicago Lakefront Bike Trail again!

AND WE’RE BACK!!! So the Chicago Lakefront Bike Trail finally reopened today!!!
And it was AMAZING to pedal down to the City again after three months of lockdown! Oddly, exactly the same as we had left it… no improvements, still with sections closed down due to erosion and poor path conditions. But I didn’t care too much… I was just excited to be out there this morning!!!

Sure, the Evanston Lakeshore has been a nice diversion… but it felt AMAZING to be back on the Chicago Lakefront!!! Thank You to the Mayor and my pottery student Dr. Allison Arwady for allowing us to get back on the lakefront. I just hope a bunch of “idiots” don’t ruin it for the rest of us who are willing to play within the restrictions & guidelines!

It was another beautiful morning… very quiet, very still.
So nice to start the day calmly with such a serene sunrise.

Another beautiful morning… no clouds, no wind, no worries. Just a very quiet sunrise along the lakefront. Simple reflections. Simple pleasures.

A chilly start to the morning. Not a cloud in the sky… luckily there were some waves playing along the lakeshore to make my morning ride more interesting! I love it when sunrise & splashing waves join forces to make morning magic!

Okay sure, maybe there were some trees, fences, silhouettes, a lighthouse and a sunrise too! Another beautiful start to the day.

Another warm morning on my bike pedaling north to enjoy the sunrise. Nice & warm with a wonderful breeze. Rumors of rain moving in today… but trying to squeeze it in before it gets here!
