Simple. Serene. Sunrise… just blue skies without a cloud on the horizon!
Okay, so not every sunrise is idyllic.
Sometimes THIS happens! Luckily it was just a quick fix of a flat tire
and I was back on the road again!

Some sunrise drama this morning as heavy clouds were sweeping through Chicago…. which also meant gusty winds, but I’m okay with that. We had some beautiful colors for a few brief moments before the clouds took over and covered the sky.
And then gone… swept away into the clouds…
It’s like a trip to the eye doctor…
“Which one looks clearer?… A ???… or B ???  A ???…. or B ???”
Can’t believe it’s already June 1st?! Which also means today is National Donut Day… and what better way to celebrate than by riding in the morning “in preparation” to celebrate guilt-free?! The more you pedal, the more donuts you can eat, right???
After last night’s rain, this morning was warm, muggy & humid. Just some low-flying clouds on the horizon… with a few more working their way in. Even when the sunrise isn’t all that spectacular… it is still pretty darn GREAT!!!
Colorful clouds sweeping the skyline.
Big clouds, big photo!
After a weekend of steamy temps & clear blue skies… it felt great to have colorful skies & cooler temps this morning. Sure, the clouds took over as gray for the day, and the temps made it sticky, hot & humid.
But did I mention that this morning was really nice???
Kicking off Memorial Day with another warm morning along the lakefront.
Kind of exciting to see that the lifeguard chairs are coming back as the City beaches
“officially” open today!
Another warm one…but a beautiful sunrise ride to kick-off the day before I head back out to the ‘burbs for Day Two of the Schaumburg Prairie Arts Festival.
With the added bonus of getting to ride all the way home on Lake Shore Drive which is closed this morning for the annual “Bike The Drive” event.
Another warm morning. Peeling off the layers.
Finally got to ride in shorts & sleeveless jersey!!!
Enjoying the morning sun… sun’s out, guns out!
