After too many days of gloomy skies & heavy rainfall, it felt great to finally get back outside again for my morning sunrise bike ride… and even better to see the sun again!!! Okay, those amazing splashing waves were pretty darn cool too!!!
Low-flying clouds for the sun to play with this morning. Peeking through & hiding behind. Either way, another beautiful morning… and another beautiful bike ride!
Not much of a sunrise this morning… I knew that going in!
But after long day of rain yesterday, I just had to get outside to play! It was very cloudy with just a sliver of sunrise potential. It never quite lined-up… but we got a little sunrise drama just the same!
With some clouds blowing through this morning, I wondered if we were even going to get much a of a sunrise this morning?! And then we went through a few different variations starting with dark & moody… followed by dark reflections… and then ethereal sun rays! So I guess we did pretty good considering I started out with fairly low expectations this morning!
It’s the first of May and not a cloud in the sky! Just that “dark cloud” of a virus still hanging over us all. I hope that you all are staying safe, staying healthy & staying creative!!!… and keep finding ways to maintain a little bit of “normal” in your daily lives… maybe like a sunrise bike ride???
Beautifully wispy clouds coloring the sky. A little chill in the air with a bit of a breezy. Both combine for another beautiful morning ride along the lakefront headed up towards Northwestern University!
Another morning & another ride with low-flying ribbons of clouds and some waves crashing in for dramatic effect.
A lovely little find on a park bench this morning. Sunrise shadows on this little reminder to love one another… especially during these trying times!
Well, it snowed yesterday in Chicago… so glad it’s all gone! Still a bit chilly, but another beautiful morning along the lakefront. A great way to start off a sunny Saturday in the City!
It was a warm & humid start this morning… with a large foggy marine layer hanging out over the lake. For the longest time, I was wondering if we were ever going to see the sunrise this morning?! Turns out we did!!!
