A quiet & hazy morning ride with a bit of a chill in the air. With a low-flying “marine layer” of haze on the horizon, it took awhile for the sun to finally appear… but when it did, the shimmering reflections were well worth the wait!

Quiet skies & shimmering reflections. Another beautiful morning along the lakefront… perfect for a quiet morning bike ride.
Not a lot of clouds, not a lot of drama.
Just another beautiful morning to ride along the lakefront.
So I did.
This morning started out with some ominous clouds moving in quickly… making me wonder if we were even going to get any sort of sunrise this morning?! It was close… great cloudscapes… and then all of a sudden a bit of color began to emerge. Then, just in the nick of time, the sun began to shine through. Followed by some crazy cool sunrays shooting out from the dark clouds. All the while… some pretty great morning reflections!
My morning ride started out pretty quiet… a bit hazy with a thick “marine layer” hovering low on the horizon. I had very low hopes for any kind of sunrise beauty… kinda gray, kinda boring… not a cloud in the sky. But then… halfway through my ride the clouds started moving in. And everything changed!!! Sunrise drama galore for the second half of my ride!!! Loved it!!!
Another clear day… not a cloud in the sky! Just starting the day with some heat & humidity… already feels like it’s going to be another hot one today. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!!!
Sunrise serenity along the lake this morning.
Very little wind & very few clouds on the horizon.
A quiet start to another beautiful summer day.
A beautiful morning along the lake with plenty of clouds for some added sunrise drama. An ever-changing sky show as I pedaled along this morning. Lots to see. Lots of fun!!!
Meanwhile… looking back over my shoulder there was some drama brewing behind me.
It didn’t look like much in terms of weather… just some great colors, clouds & contrast.
