Last, but not least…these are MY four pieces for the collaboration… “Interpretations of Blue.” Not surprisingly, I went with a lot of textures… and a more than a few tiles. Although these tiny textured tiles are smaller than I’ve ever made before! Finished in shades of blue, a few metallic accents & a tiny bit of bling if you very closely!!!

Just. finding more ways to make cool patterns with my MKM Pottery Tools handrollers. You know I “loves me” some cool textures!
Coming together in a collaboration project very soon!

Another version of my blue mini-tile quilts.
Kinda diggin’ the juxtaposition of the colors & angles.
We’ll see how they turn out after glazing!

Textured tiles… mini tiles kinda creating a “quilt” of sorts. Each individual tile is less than an inch square. Thanks to MKM Pottery Tools for cool handrollers that made most of these textures!

So I placed an online order for some new Amaco Underglaze colors from Blick Art Materials. Unfortunately, when they arrived at my studio I only received the small jars… and not the only pint jar of my order?! Assuming it was just a packing mistake, I emailed them & sent pictures of what I received. They were very responsive with FANTASTIC customer service!!! My pint of underglaze arrived quickly… and now I’m moving forward with a new colorful project!!! Thanks to the folks at Blick!!!

A striking Fall gradation of color & natural perseverance growing through a wooden pallet in the alley. Nature always finds a way!

But then I thought…
Who needs to zip over to the lakefront?
Who needs The Northern Lights?!

This magical light show is happening on the condo building right behind me every night this spooky-holiday season!!! All night! Every night!! No rush!!! And I can see it with my own eyes!!! No iPhone Camera hoo-doo voodoo thing needed?!
