maybe the storms passing through have influenced her work?
It will all come together next weekend at ART IN THE GARDEN.
Looks like maybe she’ll be a big dip, and I’ll be a chip off the old block?!!

With ART IN THE GARDEN just a week away,
the collaborations are quickly coming together.

My fellow collaborator Cory McCrory has been assembling textured slabs for her part of our project. Looks like things are coming together nicely!

One of the best parts of doing a small show like ART IN THE GARDEN is that we get to play with the other artists and do some amazing collaboration projects… not encouraged at regular art fairs! I know we’re all frantically working on pulling them together as the time draws near… and here’s a sneak peek of what mosaic artist Kristin Conneely has been doing with some of my textured tiles! Mark your calendar for September 8th & 9th to see the final results in Glenview!

Here’s a few of the collaboration salt & pepper shakers sets that went home yesterday. It’s a “mix & match” your own perfect set collaboration. You get one Cory shaker, one Gary shaker and one tray by either me or Cory. A fun game to put together your “perfect” set… a little harder for some with far too many combination options! Remember, again today only at ART IN THE GARDEN. We have a lot of great shakers & combinations left to play with!!!

So Cory has added a thin layer of glaze on her pieces. Looks like her trays have been dipped… while she has a brilliant “trick” to keep the glaze out of the ole of her salt & pepper shakers!

Looks like Cory has been adding some color to her pieces too.
The underglaze might look a little muted now, but if you know Cory and her work…
you know they’re going to be a lot more vibrant later!
