They sure raise them small out here! HA!!! My favorite little farm out here in Dover that raises miniature horses… not ponies, miniature horses!!! Slightly larger than a German Shepherd dog! Adorable!!!

Just a quick reminder that this weekend is the NORTHERN ILLINOIS POTTERY TOUR. I am returning this year as a Guest Artist at my friend Cory McCrory’s home-studio in Sandwich, Illinois. We’ve got a great group of artists in Sandwich… so I think it makes sense to start the day with us, and then work your way back at the other studio stops along The Tour. Hit all of the locations to see a LOT of pottery next weekend. Hope to see you there!

So we’ve had a couple fun OREO flavors lately in my pottery classes! Including Sour Patch Kids… that were surprisingly YUMMY!!! I know, they sound kinda terrible… but I was mistaken. And the Maple Cremes were imported from Canada thanks to Tessa!

Last night in my Intermediate Wheelthrowing class, we celebrated our last class of session with a fun trading game. The category was a handmade orchid pot with a live orchid in it. Beautiful pots & beautiful flowers… thanks to those of you who participated… Christine, Darcy, Claire & Tessa!

My entry in the game was this last one… purple glazed with a purple orchid. It worked out well for me… as it was also a class demo on “carving” a few weeks earlier for my Surface Decoration class!

The City doesn’t look so big from above.
Very pretty though… be back soon!!!

Early morning sunrise on the tarmac.
Kinda… cloudy, with a bit of sunrise reflection at least.

Huge THANKS to everyone who came out this weekend for the Hinsdale Fine Arts Fair. We really appreciate your support… whether it was in the rain all day Saturday, or the swarming cicadas & shouting Palestinian protests on Sunday. Either day, it was not an ideal art fair weekend for us in Hinsdale.

Luckily, I’ll be out again this weekend for the NORTHERN ILLINOIS POTTERY TOUR. I will be one of the guest artists at my friend Cory McCrory’s home-studio in Sandwich, Illinois. Kinda out in the boonies… but definitely worth the scenic drive!!!

It’s Day Two of the HINSDALE FINE ARTS FAIR and it’s already better than yesterday!!! It looks like a beautiful day today, so come on out to Burlington Park… I’m in booth #69 until 4:00pm!

Day One of “Hinsdale” done… and fairly drippy! We had pretty steady rain all day… and just hoping to have a better & drier day tomorrow! If you stop by, everything should be freshly washed!!! Nice & clean for Day Two of the Hinsdale Fine Arts Show tomorrow from 10am-4pm.

So while it rained most of the day today, we didn’t have a lot of customers out shopping… but we did have a LOT of cicadas to keep us entertained at the Hinsdale Fine Arts Fair. Even Rhonda & Maria were getting into the buggy fun!!!
