With all of the rain we’ve had this Spring, even Lake Michigan is FLOODED!!! The orange railings are “supposed” to be at the water’s edge… with a water level being about a foot lower than the cement edge. Needless to say, the water is high enough to cover the jogging path… and almost makes it up to the bike lanes!!!
Continuing in this week’s string of beautiful sunrises… today started off with an AMAZING one! Great colors, layered clouds and warm temperatures made it a pretty darn amazing morning!
Sure, it was a bit cloudy… but it sure felt GREAT to be up this morning and have it already feel WARM!!! No need for layers, or jackets, or sleeves!!! Feels like Summer might actually get here?! Finally. Now if we could just get away from the rain???
If Rene Magritte were a potter…
he would have seen the humor as well. Strange pieces found in the clay reclaim buckets
by the Lillstreet Claymakers!
And a bit of Magritte inspiration…
It starts as a food dish, but then becomes a chaise lounge?!
Even my friend Chris’s bearded dragon deserves a fancy handmade
stamped dish to call his own!!!
It’s been a tough couple days, but a few miles on my bike made things feel a little more
“normal” this morning. And with a sunrise like this… the day started out
BETTER THAN NORMAL!!!
Last night in my pottery class, our treats were “out of this world”!!! Thanks to Jacob & John for bringing in the newest OREO flavor… Marshmallow Moon!!! Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the first moon landing. Didn’t really taste all that different… with no marshmallow gooieness that I hoped for… and that creme color is a little off-putting… and yet we still finished them off!!!
Clear skies. Clear sailing… with a bit of a breeze...
cruising along the bike trail this morning felt GREAT!!!
I’ve always said that “the best part of biking, is stopping.”
Especially when the end of the ride is across the street from Superdawg…
which was extra tasty after our wonderful day of riding!!!
At one point along our ride we were down by the Lakefront… and we just had to laugh.
We weren’t LOST, but it sure felt like we had found one of the hatches
from the Dharma Initiative!!! Too funny!
