After this morning’s sunrise bike ride, I swung by the studio to unload one last kiln for this weekend’s ART IN THE GARDEN. And I was quite pleased with these large bowls. These green glazes worked perfectly with the stamping… pooling, breaking & running in all the right places! Can’t wait to show these off and to send a few off to good homes… maybe with a little add-on thanks to my “cohort in crime” Cory McCrory!!!

Low-flying clouds along the horizon. Another warm start to another beautiful day…
kinda the same as yesterday???… and yes, the geese were still there today!

Just sitting around snacking on the sofa & watching TV…
and “pondering” how much better this snack would be in handmade pottery dishes?!
Now if only I knew “someone” who could make a large flat bowl for the chips,
and a smaller fun bowl for the dip?

Wonder where I could ever find one of those???

One final kiln now cooling for this weekend’s ART IN THE GARDEN.
Hoping to find a few more “treasures” inside… as well as the last of the
collaboration pieces I’ve been working on with my buddy Cory McCrory!

One of the things I love about Cory McCrory is her whimsical nature, her quirky style and her ability to see the bright side. Offering up a rainbow or two to brighten your day… come see them this weekend at ART IN THE GARDEN when they become part of our collaboration project!

So my friend & co-collaborator Cory McCrory has busy been doing her part…
maybe the storms passing through have influenced her work?
It will all come together next weekend at ART IN THE GARDEN.
Looks like maybe she’ll be a big dip, and I’ll be a chip off the old block?!!

Looks pretty, right???

Well look closely…
I’m pretty sure you’re NOT supposed to be able to see THROUGH the bottom of a platter?!
I think I may have trimmed this one just a bit too close. It looked good after bisque, but it seems to have “opened up” during the glaze firing. Not so good.

After unloading my soda kiln, I also had a cone six glaze kiln to unload.
Lots of fun colors & patterns inside.

They’ll be making their big “debut” at ART IN THE GARDEN next weekend…
quite possibly with a little extra somethin’-somethin’…
