Wicker Park. Just one of the many beautiful parks in Chicago –
especially with the morning sun hitting the fountain just right.
Okay, so “maybe” this park has a few too many pigeons,
unless someone has taught them how to read???
After a long weekend in The Barn, it felt so good to be back out on my bike along the lakefront this morning. Sure, some of the bike path is still missing due to trail construction… but with views & waves like this I’ll pretty much put up with anything!
Halloween is a’happening here at ART IN THE BARN.
Got this groovy pumpkin tile from my friend Mike Skiersch…
he’s in the Lower Barn #A02 with his collectible tiles!!!
Early morning sun on ClayQuilt tile boards at ART IN THE BARN.
So here’s the big ONLINE reveal… Werewolves fresh from the kiln
and going straight to Barrington for ART IN THE BARN.
The newest addition to The Ghouls Collection!
Some cute & clean, while others have obviously been “snacking” on something!!!
Each with its own personality! A limited edition of forty werewolves to mix & mingle
with all of the Ghouls who went before!!!
So here’s the Wolf Pack after firing… just one shelf full of crazy canis lupus!
More shelves & more werewolves below. Cooling…
soon to descend upon the folks at ART IN THE BARN!!!
So excited to bring my new soda-fired flower bricks to ART IN THE BARN this weekend!
I think they turned out pretty cool… can’t wait to see them with some flowers in them!!!
I’m hoping to get some good photos before they fly off the shelves!!!
And especially pleased that my first project using my new STODOLA texture rolling pins turned out well. They were fun to play with… can’t wait to make more cool textures with the carved rolling pins! Click here to check out their website!
I started off my day today putting together a few last minute ClayQuilts to bring to the art fair this weekend. Sure, I already had enough made… but I couldn’t help myself! More is more!!! So I spent the morning arranging & assembling hundreds of handmade textured tiles to make these wall pieces look “perfectly random.” Just in time so they could dry while I went out to Barrington to set-up my booth!
One last “sneak preview” of a few of the collaboration pieces that we’re bringing to ART IN THE BARN this weekend. My friend & multi-media painter Cheryl Holz and I have been working on combined works. One of her beautiful paintings in one of my stamped & soda-fired picture frames. They are a limited edition of twenty… so come out to Barrington early to get your own “clay & paint” collaboration masterpiece!!!
Sometimes these are the best four letters you’ll see today!
Now to get it cooled and unloaded so I can release the “Wolf Pack” tomorrow!!!
