Kicking off Memorial Day with another warm morning along the lakefront.
Kind of exciting to see that the lifeguard chairs are coming back as the City beaches
“officially” open today!

A huge THANK YOU this morning for everyone who came out this weekend to the Schaumburg Prairie Arts Festival in the blazing sun & heat. It was so good to see everyone and a great way to kick-off my summer art fair schedule. We all made it through… even my flowers that I had to water like every 30 minutes to keep them from frying in the sun!!!
Not a bad location… and a great place for this weekend’s art fair
with white tents along the pond’s edge at the Schaumburg Prairie Arts Festival.
It’s Day Two and I’m looking forward to another beautiful day…
and sending a lot of pots off to their new homes!
C’mon by… we’re here from 10:00am-5:00pm today
at the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center in Schaumburg, Illinois.
Another warm one…but a beautiful sunrise ride to kick-off the day before I head back out to the ‘burbs for Day Two of the Schaumburg Prairie Arts Festival.
With the added bonus of getting to ride all the way home on Lake Shore Drive which is closed this morning for the annual “Bike The Drive” event.
Sure, it was a little on the “warm” side today… okay, HOT… SUMMER IS HERE!!!
But at least we had a nice breeze & blue skies all day at the Schaumburg Prairie Arts Festival. Expecting more of the same tomorrow!!! Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate…
Not a bad way to start my day! It was a good day at the Schaumburg Prairie Arts Festival…
and we do it again tomorrow from 10:00am-5:00pm… c’mon by!
All packed up and ready to go!!!
Come out to the Schaumburg Prairie Arts Festival this Saturday & Sunday.
10:00am-5:00pm both days out in the park at the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center.
I’ll be in the same spot as usual… right on the corner in Booth #53.
Plenty of pots for everyone… and planters for your Spring flowers!!!
A nice surprise in the morning glow. A fun stacked stone tower resting along the lakeshore watching the sun rise behind it. Thank You to whoever took the time to add a bit of creativity & whimsy for others of us to enjoy!
Another warm morning. Peeling off the layers.
Finally got to ride in shorts & sleeveless jersey!!!
Enjoying the morning sun… sun’s out, guns out!
Also fresh-out-of-the-kiln… the two bubble glazing demo pieces from last week’s class. My bowl had a layer of Shaner White glaze, followed by bubbles of Tom’s Purple, and then another layer of Josh Blue bubbles.
One of my students glazed her bowl with Shaner White followed by bubbles of a green stain, and a slightly dipped rim of Randy’s Green… which explains some of the blushy pink tones!
