Along the shore, the road was scattered with horseshoe crabs and a few puffed fish. Looks like they might have come in with the tide, and didn’t quite make it back when the water receded. Most of them are flipped on their backs. A few still looked like they had a little life left in them… so I flipped them over and watched them slowly crawl towards the water.
Might be the same sun & the same sunrise, but it looks completely different out here over the Delaware Bay instead of Lake Michigan?!!!
It was quite humid & sweaty this morning… the clouded sunrise made it a wonderful ride!
Unfortunately, the clouds rolled in and covered the sky… and brought more humidity with ’em.
After my first day working with the “glitter gig” in Dover today, I decided to go for a quick sunset run. Not far. Just from the hotel, around the speedway, back to the Festival entrance and back. The sunset was beautiful… and if you look close you can see part of Dover International Speedway in the bottom left corner.
For anyone around the TV tonight, my friends Kristen & Andy will be on tonight’s episode of “Kitchen Crashers.” Kristen is a metalsmith-turned-Mom who got a complete kitchen make-over courtesy of the DIY Channel. Can’t wait to see the transformation… and watch for her adorable kids too. They’re the cuties who made terra cotta mugs in my studio a few weeks ago!
Special thanks to everyone who came out to the Hinsdale Fine Arts Festival this past weekend. We had incredible weather both days surrounded by a lot of talent. It was great to see so many of my loyal customers… and to meet so many Facebook Fans. So much fun to finally put a face with the “Face”book!!!
