My latest production round was a group of “rounds”… the top part of ikebana vases coming together. Stepping it up so that I’m ready when the Spring flowers start popping up… just some positive thinking… or, wishful thinking!!!
So I have a friend in my booth today at ART IN THE GARDEN.
Just a little “good luck spider” hanging out on my ikebana display flowers!
Another beautiful floral arrangement for another Floral Friday! A few simple stems displayed in an square stamped ikebana vase. Thanks for sharing Kristy!
Celebrating another Floral Friday with a nice hydrangea centerpiece in one of my ikebana flower vases. Thanks for sharing your flowers Heather!
My cousin Kim was outside enjoying her garden… and decided to take a few blooms to enjoy inside as well. Good thing she had one of my flat textured ikebana vases to put them in… using the small pin frog inside to prop-up the flowers! Thanks for sharing your beautiful garden Kim!
A single yellow rose sitting beautifully on a stamped & soda-fired ikebana vase.
Doing a bit more stamping tonight in the studio. Just “practicing” to get ready for tomorrow night’s Surface Decoration class… as the topic is going to be stamping & sprigging. Wanted to “brush up” on my stamping before I head in to show-off tomorrow night!!!
Yes, the snow did them in… the plants are completely frozen, sagging, mushy & dead! However, I did “save” two flowers for a quick ikebana vase! The last two for this season… and hoping to “up my game” for next year with even more & bigger dahlias!
After this morning’s trip to the GreenCity Market, Rikke came home with another beautiful “broken” dahlia bloom FREE from the flower vendor. Good thing Rikki has an ikebana flower vase at the ready to show-off her newest blossom! Giving new life to a flower-head originally headed towards the trash. Beautiful save!!!
