After trimming the bottoms to form a good footring, I let these dry a bit more before drilling drainage holes… with my POWER DRILL!!! The fastest & cleanest way to make a lot of holes fast. And who doesn’t like using power tools on their pottery?!

Moving along nicely on my latest batch of berry bowls. Stamping a ring of texture around each of them using my own handmade stamps! Now to dry to leatherhard before I can trim the footring and punch some drainage holes!!!

Another beautiful start to another beautiful day. The forecast says rain is on the way later tonight… all the more reason to be outside soaking in a colorful sunrise when you can!!!

A little pop of Spring color… a trio of tulips in one of my favorite mugs by Cory McCrory! Uncovered something green in my garden this morning! After removing a layer of “dead leaf mulch”… it was great to find this surprise going on underneath! I think it might be my first hellebore plant that survived the winter! I think?… nothing is labeled, so I’m kinda guessing here. But at this point… green is GREEN!!!

Another 10×10 challenge… ten pieces thrown by 10:00am! Working on another batch of new berry bowls for the start of my art fair season… coming sooner than you think! Can’t believe it’s already April?!!!

Chilly & clear… albeit for that one cloud drifting by.

Tonight was the the first night of the new Spring session of classes at Lillstreet… so of course we needed the new flavor of OREOs to kick it off!!! Not too sure about this flavor. It didn’t win me over right away… the Jury is still out.

OREO UPDATE : Okay… the Jury is done deliberating.

I tried sharing them with three of my pottery classes… and NO ONE likes them!!! For the first time, we didn’t finish the package… and I ended up throwing away the leftovers. Wait… what?… throwing away OREOs??? Really?… YES!!!

So I gifted my friend Sarah a ceramic birdhouse recently. She loved it & can’t wait to hang it in her yard. But our friend Pam with the groovy glasses seemed a bit perplexed. She looked at, analyzed it… and still seemed a bit confused. And then she asked “how you re-fill it with bird seed… and clean the old seed out??? A quick explanation… it was that moment she “learned” the difference between birdFEEDER & birdHOUSE!!!
