Yesterday was another great Instagram Live with Steve Lee from the Archie Bray! He’s doing weekly “shows” every Friday… this time from his own shelter-in-place studio in his basement. It was great to see him doing some throwing demos again, this time on the treadle wheel he built for himself back in college! Crazy, right?! Be sure to tune in next week on the Archie Bray Instagram Feed for more with Steve Lee!

Little Teagan might be a bit under the weather today, but it look she’s more than ready for breakfast in her fancy new ceramic bowls!!! Teagan’s Mom is one of my IRONMAN biking buddies… so breakfast just might be pie ala mode!!!

Looks like my friend Tracy found the perfect mug to warm up her morning Stroopwafel. Not a hundred percent sure what that is… but it looks pretty yummy. Kinda flat for a waffle?… and missing the syrup!!! But I might need to try these out when we’re released from captivity!

Here’s a little musical interlude to brighten your day… now taking on a slightly different message than it did back in 1980 when The Police first released it. Enjoy… and don’t stand so close to me… SIX FEET PLEASE!!!

It’s so hard to believe that it has already been four full weeks since we were last together celebrating the “finale” of our LILLSTREET THROWDOWN class. So much has changed since then. In our lives. In the world. It is just weird to see the Lillstreet classrooms so empty, so quiet. No wheels turning. No pots being made. No kilns firing. We are all looking forward to happier & healthier days when we can all return to play in the clay together.

Until then, I hope everyone is staying safe, staying well & staying creative!

My students all know how much I LOVE a good spiral…
too bad they’re “not around” these days for me to play with…
err, teach.

I miss them… and I kinda miss them making fun of my spiral bowls!!!

Things are bubbling over again today… with a fresh roll of bubble wrap, I’m packing up more pottery headed out to new homes! Hoping my pottery will help brighten someone’s dreary quarantined days at home!

Even though it wasn’t Wheaties… it still looks like it was a Breakfast Of Champions down in Peoria for my friends Gerry & Rosene! Enjoying their morning routine before heading out to work in their amazing garden! Trying to keep a little bit of “normal” in their everyday lives!

So my reclaimed clay has been sitting out on my plaster bat for about a week in my studio. Tonight I finally decided it was time to tackle the large pile, cut it up, layer it, slice it, layer it more, pound it into cubes and then bag it up. The “real” wedging will happen when I get around to actually using the clay to make something!

Good to see that Ruth is hunkered down working from home… I’m guessing that her dining room table is now her office like so many others… and using one of my mugs to help get her through the day! Happy Hump Day Ruth!!!

Hey wait… I think if you look REALLY closely… I believe Ruth might be “working hard” while looking at MY Facebook Page!!! It’s all about priorities… and Ruth’s are definitely in the right place! Thanks Ruth!!!
