Pretty pastels with intricate details. One of my neighbors planted this new hydrangea bush in front of their condo… and I’m totally intrigued!

Not a cloud in the sky, just some low-flying haze off in the distance. Pretty quiet today… a few waves crashing… but no noise from the cars on Lake Shore Drive as it is still closed down overnight to limit access to the downtown area since the recent looting riots!!! Oddly quiet until the road that parallels the lakefront bike trail re-opens at 6:00am.

Not to be outdone… looks like my “cohort in collaboration” Cory McCrory has been working on her small plates too?! Looks like this collaboration is coming together nicely!!! Lots of parts & pieces in the works!!!

So I did a little “detailing” on my batch of small plates… a bit of stamping, texturing & altering of rims. Still working towards ART IN THE GARDEN… the last weekend of August… where our big collaboration project will all come together!!! Just trying to stay one step ahead of Cory… HA!!!

So here they are… one by one… two shots of each!!!

So there they are… plenty of plates… with a couple extra just in case. You know nothing is guaranteed with pottery. Better to hedge your bets with a couple extras!
Dark & moody at the start.
Beautiful sunrise just like art.
Another wonderful day riding my bike.
Just like every other morning I like.
Cute, huh?
Okay… so I never claimed to be a poet.

When the big storm came though a couple days ago, apparently is broke off a bunch of Rosene’s coleus plants. Not to be beaten down, she gathered them up and made a cute little centerpiece for herself! Helps when you have a nice little stamped & soda-fired vase to put them in!!!

Two more pictures from this morning… when the colors were sweeping across the horizon. One before, and one after the sun made its grand appearance!

Looks like our mosaic artist is up to something cool. I sent Kristin Conneely a bunch of my soda-fired beads to play with… and she is!!! I can’t wait to see what kind of final collaboration pieces she comes up with for ART IN THE GARDEN! These collaborations are one of the things that makes ART IN THE GARDEN so much fun… and there are several different ones in the works! Can’t wait to see them all in person the last weekend of August in Glenview!

Please disregard the missing word on Kristin’s post…
too many beads, not enough words… HA!!!!
Well, apparently today was “small plate day”!!! Lots of bats. Lots of small plates. Just getting one step closer to ART IN THE GARDEN… still working on my collaboration project with my “cohort” Cory McCrory!

Looks like Retta Hentschel is getting ready to have some fun with my lidded jars! Making magic happen as only she can… getting ready for ART IN THE GARDEN. These unique collaboration projects are one of the many things that make this art fair so special… August 29th & 30th in Glenview!

For more information… and some more pretty pictures…
here’s your OFFICIAL INVITATION!!!
