Yesterday was sunny & warm… today, not so much!
Cloudy, dark, gloomy & cold… and yet still WINDY!!!
Lots of clouds obscuring the sunrise… just a bunch of clouds!!!

Yesterday was sunny & warm… today, not so much!
Cloudy, dark, gloomy & cold… and yet still WINDY!!!
Lots of clouds obscuring the sunrise… just a bunch of clouds!!!
Last night in my wheel class, Katie one of my Advanced Beginners continued her exploration marbled clay. She started with standard colors like marbling ochre stoneware with lighter B-clay. She loved the finished results… and now has stepped up her game with stained porcelain!!! Looking great… even though there’s still a little bit of cleaning up to do!
Cloudy all morning, so I waited to ride my bike for the sun to come out later this afternoon. But with it came the WIND!!! So windy… so gusty… it might have been the “funnest” & funniest ride I’ve had for a long time. The wind was swirling everywhere… from the left side, right side, back side, front side! Blowing leaves off the trees sweeping across the path. Debris flying. Feeling like you might literally get blown over!!!
So much fun… but a bit sad watching the color on the trees literally blow away on what might be one of the last beautiful days of Fall… mwah, mwah, mwah….
These shamrocks have been enjoying the summer on my back porch. But they say the temperatures are going to drop quickly overnight… so their stay outside might end soon! I’m thinking I need to find a new home for them inside today before they “freeze” to death tomorrow!
Packing, wrapping & bubbling…
lots of packages going out full of Ghouls for the season!!!
Lots of clouds for the sun to play with this morning… even if only for a few fleeting moments. We were rewarded with a stunning sunrise this morning… but now it looks like it might be clouds for the rest of the day?!
Last night in my Intermediate Wheelthrowing class, one of my students wanted to do a bit of sgraffito carving… some creepy & scraggly trees just in time for Halloween! So what better way than to let her borrow my assortment of DiamondCore Tools to get her carving groove on!!!
A room with a view… and a view with a room?!
As we were getting ready to start class tonight, we were treated with a beautiful sunset. So this is the sunset view I caught from the Lillstreet 2nd floor rooftop… and a cool reflection while ON the roof!!!
You know how much I LOVE rusty metal…
so it’s perfect for another TEXTURE TUESDAY!
Sure, I could have left this bowl with the simple ombre colors gradating from blue to orange… but MORE IS MORE, right?! So I decided to do a little carving through the colored slip with my DiamondCore Tools instead!
