So we kinda “jumped the shark” at the end of Season Four with the turning of the donkey wheel. Flashes of light. Flash forward. Flash back. Flashes… I don’t get it.

“Think of the Island like a record spinning on a turntable…
only now, that record is skipping.”

As I recall… Season Five is the one that made my head hurt a bit. Timing issues. Luckily, we have another season after this get back on track!

FINALLY!!! How did this take so long CBS?

I mean, if you were to be shut-down and told to “shelter-in-place” for the pandemic, what better place than on a deserted island in Fiji?! Right?… two tribal “bubbles” competing against each other on a deserted beach far away from everyone. Sign me up… it would have been a lot more fun than creating a dent on my sofa with a remote control in hand for the past year!!! HA!!!

This past weekend we did a little “celebrating” of my niece
Taylor’s “Sweet 16” birthday… her second Covid birthday!

While we stayed safe in our family bubble, we also tried the new “pandemic trend” of cutting & eating cake with wine glasses! Pretty fun, a little messy and a LOT of yummy chocolate frosting! We all liked it… except maybe my Dad who I think prefers the old-fashioned slice of cake on a plate!

And coincidentally, I went home with a mug from Kate, and a mug from Kathleen! So we kinda “traded” after a good amount of switching & stealing along the way!

Kate’s mug has a shino glaze base with a green glaze squirted on as an accent that does amazing things during the firing.

Kathleen went a bit more “structured” with thin tape lines to block out her primary colored design using underglazes.

Each of them a nice addition to my already overflowing Mug Collection!
