Tonight in my SURFACE DECORATION pottery class, we’re tackling a little sgraffito!!! I’ve got a couple surprises ready for them… and sharing my collection of DiamondCore Carving Tools for them to play with!!!

Another clear morning bike ride… not a cloud in the sky!!! Just some bright colors & quiet reflections along the way. Still a bit chillier than I would like, but they’re predicting a warm-up over the next few days… finally!

Have I mentioned lately how much I LOVE trimming?! Especially when you get such clean cuts, lines & smooth edges with my DiamondCore Tools!!! Spinning fast, ribbons of clay coming right off the pots… making cool spirals & piles of trimmings!

Another platter. Another stamp. And what happens when they meet up in the studio. Sure, it could have stayed plain & smooth… but why?! The stamped texture is so much more fun!!!

With the cooler weather lately, the lilac blossoms seem to be hanging around a lot longer this year… which I’m totally good with. But quite honestly, I’m ready for the warm weather to come back. I want Summer!!!

Looks like Julie is kicking off a little Teapot Tuesday with a stamped & soda-fired teapot… and a couple “vintage” mugs from a few years back!!! A sweet little Tea For Two!!!

Monday’s maple keys… still green on the trees! Looking forward to when they finally dry-out and turn into fun little helicopters!!!

One of the best parts of having friends stop by your weekend pop-up pottery sale… is when they bring you sweet treats from their candy shop!!! The best homemade chocolate fudge from Maurie’s Sugar Shoppe in Eureka, Illinois… right across from the Courthouse! Thanks Keith & Julie… you guys are too “sweet.”
