Another morning with a good amount of clouds… but not such a good amount of color? I thought we might get a nice splash of color this morning… but instead, the sun popped out for a brief moment and then hid behind the clouds for the rest of my ride!

Another morning with a good amount of clouds… but not such a good amount of color? I thought we might get a nice splash of color this morning… but instead, the sun popped out for a brief moment and then hid behind the clouds for the rest of my ride!

My latest pumpkin patch is coming along nicely… after a couple hours in the studio “pumpkintizing” my smooth spheres. Grooves, warts, stems & leaves! All getting ready for ART IN THE BARN in a couple weeks!!!

After another fun trip to the Farmer’s Market, I’m so glad I picked up a large bouquet of dahlias from Vangie’s Farm. Their flowers are just AMAZING…with such great colors, textures & dimensions. A fantastic collection of farm-fresh flowers… a custom-made collection of flowers just for me. Good thing I “just happen” to have a few extra vases around the place to put them in!!!

We wanted to be in the room where it happened! So we did… and we saw the “big screen” version of HAMILTON at the theater tonight. So much fun with my sister Jen & cousin Kim who had never seen it before… and we ate plenty of POPCORN !!!

Yesterday we had a fleeting moment of sunrise… and the day seem to be fleeting by too as it was over before I knew it!!! But we had a sliver of sunrise color yesterday with good potential for more… but the clouds won out with some dramatic peek-thru’s along the way!

More than ten done before 10:00am! My “harvest” of pumpkins ran out at the art fair last weekend… so it’s time to “grow” some more in time for ART IN THE BARN in Barrington. Always the last weekend of September!

Well, we started a new session of classes this week at Lillstreet Art Center. And what better way to kick-off new classes than with new OREOs?!!! And we all agreed… these are YUMMY!!!

Although I will say… now I kinda want a real REESE’s peanut butter cup wedged between two OREO cookies. Not cream filling… but an actual peanut butter cup! I may need to make them myself?!
I don’t want this Summer to end!!! The weather this past couple weeks has been just AMAZING!!! A bit crisp in the morning, but stunning the rest of the day… sunny, warm but not hot, no humidity, slight breeze… what more could I ask for???

Just a quick THANK YOU to everyone who came out to Glenview this weekend for ART IN THE GARDEN. It’s always fun to see so many friends, followers & art lovers all gathering to enjoy the day, the art & each other. It started as a small grassroots art fair with a handful of talented friends banding together to create this wonderful art fair experience… thank you Amy & Tom!
And now, over the years, this show has grown into a full-fledged art weekend with an amazing following. Again, thank you to all who came, enjoyed the garden, chatted with some artists & quite possibly took home some art that makes you smile!!!

After a fun weekend of “standing around” all day at ART IN THE GARDEN… my muscles were happy to get back on the bike to work-out some kinks! A quiet morning without a lot of sunrise drama. Just clear skies with a cool breeze!
