Another hazy start to the day… or at least I had thought so. Apparently some of this haziness we’ve been experiencing for the past couple days is actually some residual “smoke” in the atmosphere from the wildfires out in Oregon!
When they installed a new mosaic wall behind the sinks in the new Wheelthrowing classroom at Lillstreet… my first thought was “Who’s going to clean the splattered clay off of that?”
Well, today I found out… MY SUMMER CAMPERS… that’s who!!!
Today they asked what else they could do while we were cleaning up… so I told them… and they were more than happy to oblige!
A fun little set of stamped bowls… maybe for a little ice cream???
While they may not be identical twins, they are surely close cousins!
Bright colors, cool textures… and nothing GREEN!
I love how this coleus is just a fun burgundy red color
“outlined” by a golden frame!
Oh, how I’ve missed you… so excited to try the newest flavor of OREO’s and to share them with my pottery class last night. So we still had to follow “the rules”… but we found creative ways to share the goodies & stay safe at the same time! And for the record… these new OREO’s are pretty darn tasty!!!
One bowl. Two stamps. Lots of repetition…
Just to make another stamped & textured rim. I like how the stamped pattern creates this kind of chevron effect around the rim!
Thrilled to be spinning & trimming so smoothly again! So much better with my Giffin Grip back in action. Even better when paired with a great trimming tool from DiamondCore Tools. Two of my favorite tools working together… making my trimming life so much better!!!
Studio life is so much better when you have the best tools!!!
So excited to have some new replacement parts for my Giffin Grip!!! If you recall, one of my bottom brackets broke a couple weeks back… surely from years & years of over-use!!! My friend Lisa tried to “fix it”… but it didn’t work. But the wonderful folks at Giffin made sure I was back up & running! Thrilled to get back to trimming like a Rock Star!!!
For the record, they offer a wide range of replacement parts & additional bumpers & posts online if you need to upgrade YOUR over-used Giffin Grip!
Another amazing hydrangea bush in full bloom… with these wonderful cascading “cones” of white flowers. Not really sure what kind of hydrangea this is?… but I’m pretty sure I “need” one! Perfect for a natural TEXTURE TUESDAY!
Another hazy start to the morning…
this time with a little more shimmer towards the end.
Sunrise reflections on a very quiet lake.
