And did I mention that there will be wheelthrown holiday ornaments at ART IN THE BARN too??? Fresh from the kiln… I just need to add metal rings to the tops!

Putting the finishing touches on… a layer of clear glaze. Starting with the interiors & bottoms. The exteriors will be sprayed to cover with the shiny clear glaze… which when applied looks strangely like chocolate chip mint ice cream?!

but some of the new mini-pumpkins are pretty adorable too!

Well, here we have some “naked” Ghouls from earlier this week…
just waiting for some colors to make the character come to life… out of The Netherworld!!!

And here are the same “Moon Jars” after soda-firing… all of them on their way to ART IN THE BARN this weekend!!! Pretty round vases that would look even prettier with pretty flowers inside!!!

At one point last session, one of my “advanced beginning” students requested a demo on making a moon jar… well, there’s no lid… so it’s more like a spherical vase. We made one in class, and I was kind of enamored by it. So I made a few more!!! Thanks Allison for the request & inspiration!!!

So you know I love a good “roadkill”… but I’ve never seen one like this?!

A big chunk of monstera just randomly sitting on the lakefront just south of Hollywood Beach. I’m sure I was quite a sight to see pedaling home with this huge plant wedged into my aero-bars!!! Ha!!! So now I just need to figure out the best way to propagate a monstera to get it growing again. Any suggestions???
