I’ll also be bringing some new lidded casserole dishes to the art fair this weekend. But I’ve got to share… so for those who can’t make it to Schaumburg this weekend, I’ll also have some at the Hinsdale Fine Arts Festival next weekend!!! But there’s a limited quantity… I only have four for Schaumburg & four for Hinsdale!

Spent the afternoon prepping, pricing & packing… getting ready for the Schaumburg Prairie Arts Festival this weekend. Sort of enamored with this collection of colors & textures… you know how I love a “not-so-basic” bowl!!!

This platter turned out pretty special… I’m loving this green color & how it works so well with the stamped textures & spiral grooves. There’s only one… and it will be available at the Schaumburg Prairie Arts Festival tomorrow. Who knows… it might go fast?!!!

So while one kiln is cooling, it’s time to prep, price & pack my pots from a previous kiln! Starting with a large batch of new soda-fired mugs that need to be ready for their “Big Debut” this weekend in Schaumburg!

As we near the end of our pottery class session, we’re also nearing the “Big Reveal” of THE GREAT AMERICAN BAKING SHOW. Last night we celebrated the latest batch of “losers” who didn’t quite make it to the finals! Yummy treats based-on & inspired-by the four bakers… baklava for Karis, churros for Sean, key lime ice cream parfait cups for Nerali & purple ube cupcakes for Susan! Quite the night for my students. Exciting to see that our very own Martin has made it into the Top Three & will be baking & competing in the FINALS!!! Go Martin!!!
