We had a beautiful Fall weekend a couple days ago. Perfect for a roadtrip weekend down to Peoria to visit with friends. Oh yeah… and to re-visit the stamped & soda-fired totem pole in their front yard!! Look familiar???

Crisp & clear this morning. I had to pile on some layers as it was in the lower-forties as I head out the door for my morning ride. I’m not mentally ready for all of these layers so early in the season… I still want the warmth of Summer!!! Did I mention it was cold?!… long sleeves. jacket, gloves, hat under the helmet… the whole sh-bang!

Just a little early morning carving. A quick dinner plate with leatherhard white slip on the rim… before carving with my favorite carving tool from DiamondCore Tools.

A very quick & sudden flat tire as I went from pavement to rocky-gravel… instantly FLAT!!! Which also threw me off a bit… so there “may be” a couple little scratches & “perhaps” a bruised left buttock. Nothing a little Neosporin can’t take care of. But if it’s going to happen.. and at some point it will… at least I had beautiful scenery to watch while I replaced the inner tube & fixed my flat tire!!! Then back on the road…

Another beautiful morning with plenty of clouds & plenty of color to go around! Started a bit dark, dreary. & windy.. but it sure made up for that with another amazing skyshow!

Another beautiful start to another beautiful day!

Last night in class we had an amazing assortment of OREO cookies from China. Unique flavors & combos… like sesame, lavender, grape, peach, raspberry, matcha & birthday cake. Like most “imported” OREOs, they seemed a bit drier, crisper, “flour-ier” & not nearly as sweet & sugary! The sesame one was almost buttery & savory?! And as always… matcha is a “hit or miss” flavor! Special thanks to Tiffany for this gift of OREOs… including the Birthday flavor!!! – IFKYK

Last night in class, we broke out the new 10” decorating disk from MKM POTTERY TOOLS. Darcy was trying to draw a mandala pattern & wanted to space things out perfectly. The decorating disk made it so easy… and the new 10” size was perfect for decorating her pie plate!

Sharing my DiamondCore Carving Tools helped make the carving fun too!!!
