After the weekend’s art fair… and my booth flowers are still looking pretty good!
A little flash of Fall floral in a stamped & soda-fired oval vase!
Pretty orange roses in a pretty orange vase!
Stamped & soda-fired little mini vase with some little spray roses…
always fun in my favorite color!!!
And here are the same “Moon Jars” after soda-firing… all of them on their way to ART IN THE BARN this weekend!!! Pretty round vases that would look even prettier with pretty flowers inside!!!
At one point last session, one of my “advanced beginning” students requested a demo on making a moon jar… well, there’s no lid… so it’s more like a spherical vase. We made one in class, and I was kind of enamored by it. So I made a few more!!! Thanks Allison for the request & inspiration!!!
Like a kiss from a rose… in a stamped & soda-fired vase! Pretty little orange garden roses in an oval vase… with a strappy little handle that helps keep the flowers where you want them! I’ll be bringing a few of these oval vases to ART IN THE BARN next weekend.
Making some “kiln filler” mini vases for an upcoming soda kiln.
Just finished trimming & painting with colored flashing slip accents!
And while I was already throwing off-the-hump… I decided I should make another batch of mini’s while I was at it. I mean, who doesn’t want more cutie-patooties?!
A few days later, and my booth flowers from ART IN THE GARDEN are still holding up nicely. It’s kinda nice to have fresh flowers on the back porch… and a handmade stamped & soda-fired vase to put them in!!!
Another beautiful floral arrangement for another Floral Friday! A few simple stems displayed in an square stamped ikebana vase. Thanks for sharing Kristy!
