Just a little “tile temptation†for those of you trying to decide if you can come to MY HOLIDAY HOME SHOW today. Well if you do, you’ll see my tiled wall installation with close to 3,000 handmade tiles on the wall… 2,894 to be exact, but who’s counting?! Just a little textural incentive to come see it in person… with your mask!!!

Beautiful fall colored ivy leaves on a beautiful weathered fence.
Perfect for a natural Texture Tuesday!

Plenty of stars to go around!!! These little textured stars are perfect as ornaments, gift-tags or just fun little tchotchkes to have hanging about. I’ll be adding strings to them before MY HOLIDAY HOME SHOW which starts next week!

Mother Nature has been working overtime this year!
The Fall colors have been amazing & long-lasting.
So let’s celebrate with another natural Texture Tuesday!

And the beautifully warm weather continues today. YAY!!! Plenty of clouds hanging out for the sunrise color to play with. Dark saturated colors at the start evolving into crazy, cool orange textured clouds! Looks like it’s going to be another AMAZING day!… especially amazing for November!!!

The sun is streaming into the studio and hitting these cute little star ornaments. Sure, they really need a bit of glaze and wadding… but the sun is shining in?! Which “kinda means” that I might just NEED to go outside to play on my bike again this afternoon? I mean… we don’t get these glorious 70-degree days very often in November in Chicago!!! I gotta take advantage of them… and quick!!! So my loading might be a smidge later than planned this evening… shucks.

I’m a firm believer that generally gourds are cooler than pumpkins!
Great colors combinations, funky textures, groovy shapes & squiggly stems… even better when gathered & displayed in a handmade stamped bowl!!!

Another photo entry for Texture Tuesday. In a strange kinda way… the colorful sumac I just posted photos of “reminds me” of this colorful stamped & soda-fired handbuilt vase. I think it might be the nice ombre range of colors?!
Another grey & dreary day in Chicago… so it’s always a welcome surprise to find a splash of color like this sumac bush in my front yard! Loving the range of colors and the natural overlapped textures created by jagged leaves!
