Felt great riding this morning for a foggy, misty, humid morning…
working out all the kinks from yesterday’s 112 miles of hills!

With a bit of chilled humidity, the morning skies were clouded along the horizon. Nothing too sharp or dramatic… just some soft colors glowing low turning into soft pastels as the sun breached the horizon.

It’s a cloudy start today. Not much in the way of a sunrise. Just a bunch of wonderful clouds blowing through Chicago this morning along with a fair share of muggy humidity from the overnight rains.

A nice start to the morning with a charming sliver of crescent moon. However, that big cloud on the horizon took over… and cancelled any chance of a beautiful sunrise for today!

Red sky in the morning… bikers take warning.
Another dramatic start to another amazing morning.
Crazy cool colors splashing across the clouds. Quite the sky show…
but also a harbinger of some crazy weather on the way!

With a stillness & warmth in the air, it was a quiet ride on a warm August morning.
Wispy clouds traversing the horizon. Feels like it’s going to be a HOT one today!

What started out with one big cloud and lots of low-flying fog…
turned out to be another beautiful sunrise sparkling over the lake.

Windy with one BIG cloud this morning!! Couldn’t tell if it was moving in or moving out??? It started out pretty oppressive (and impressive)… but kind of dissipated as the morning sky show played out. Luckily the sun had a few moments to shine this morning!

And yes, that big cloud is STILL lingering out there…

A cloudy start to the day. Lots of clouds…
with just a splash of color that lasted for just a few moments and then back to gray.
At least we got a splash, right?! Better than nothing.

With a layer of marine haze on the skyline, the colors were muted & pastoral. Some wispy clouds & contrails played well in the sky… but it was that “red rubber ball” of a sun that put it over the top!
